An Inuk artist from Postville, Nunatsiavut

Erica Jacque alternates between textile arts, acrylic painting, and stick‑and‑poke tattooing — embroidered earrings, hoop art, and miniature dioramas stitched by hand. Inspired by artists like Kenojuak Ashevak and Annie Pootoogook, she recreates iconic Inuit art in embroidery, and comes from a family full of artists.

Her work has appeared in Inuit Art Quarterly, First American Art Magazine and the poetry collection Elements, on the wall of a middle school in Iqaluit, and on the skin of friends across the North.
